Mounting Instructions for Chain & Sprocket Drives
Standard Positioning: The ROSTA10sioning device should be placed on the slack side of the chain & sprocket drive, close by the smaller sprocket wheel in order to enlarge its contact-arc, therefore contact application from the outer side of drive. In mounted position, the10si1r-arm should stay close to parallel to the chain & sprocket run, in drain direction. By extremely long chain & sprocket drives it is recommendable to install several10si1rs or the type “Boomerang®” in order to enlarge the slack compensation. Reversible Chain & Sprocket Drive:By reversible chain & sprocket transmissions, it is recommendable to install a10si1r on each side of the chain & sprocket-strands. Due to the alternate occurring of the slack, both10si1rs should only be pre-tensi1d up to max. 20°, in order to retain a reset-path of 10°, when strains are changing from slack span on working span in reversible applications. Sprocket Teeth in Mesh:By the initial10sioning of the chain & sprocket, at least 3 teeth of the10si1r sprocket wheel should be in mesh with the rollers. The min. distance between the sprocket wheel of the10si1r to the next sprocket wheel in the chain & sprocket drive should be at least 4 chain & sprocket-pitches.Adjustment of Chain & Sprocket Track:The wheel of the sprocket wheelset is adjustable according to the position of the chain & sprocket drive track. The wheel is positi1d between 2 nuts on the threaded shaft. In changing the adjustment band “R”, the track of the10si1r wheel can be set according to the relevant strand course. After positioning the sprocket, re-tighten the 2 nuts on the side. The counter-nut “B” remains always tightened.
