Vortex brand reducers use special gears that have been manufactured out of high-grade steel, then case hardened, and finally precision ground to AGMA standards for maximum durability and performance. The seals in a VXT615 reducer are spring loaded and double lipped for minimal oil leakage and provides an overall longer seal life, plus the seal is protected by a metal reinforced guard. The shaft used in Vortex reducers is manufactured out of heat-treated alloy steel for the highest strength and durability. The housing is manufactured out of cast iron to damper vibration and is coated with a highly corrosive resistant coating. To round it all off the Vortex VXT615 reducer uses a combination of premium tapered roller bearings and ball bearings to provide the highest load capacities and longest bearing life possible.
